PHA Wins Chick-fil-A’s True Inspiration Award!
PHA is awarded a $225,000 grant from Chick-fil-A to further our work #forthekids
“To have a brand like Chick-fil-A come and outpoor such tremendous generosity into our kids and let them know that they are not invisible, and that all things are possible for them, it’s incredible. I am beyond overwhelmed, and the depth of my gratitude is endless”, Jennifer Friend, PHA CEO
Chick-fil-A’s True Inspiration Awards are grants awarded to nonprofits across the country. They focus on nonprofits working to strengthen their local communities in the areas of hunger, homelessness, and education. This summer, we found out that Project Hope Alliance was a finalist. So, we spent the following months rallying our community to vote for us on the Chick-fil-A One app-thank you to everyone who voted for us! In December, we anxiously awaited to hear if PHA had won. At the same time, we were excited to host Orange County Chick-fil-A owners and operators, who were coming to PHA’s office to bring holiday presents for our kids. Little did we know, they were coming to surprise us as the award winners! Our deepest thanks to Thomas Purtell, his stores and staff, and the CFA team members. As you can see in the video, we were caught entirely by surprise with the grant award and two massive boxes of Chick-fil-A merchandise for our kids and families to enjoy during the holidays.
