Project Hope Alliance Awarded Prestigious Neighborhood Builders Award and Grant
Project Hope Alliance is proud to announce that it has received the 2025 Neighborhood Builders® Award, one of the nation’s most prestigious recognitions for nonprofits driving meaningful, sustainable change in their communities.
Bank of America’s Neighborhood Builders® program recognizes outstanding nonprofit organizations that address critical issues such as education, housing, health, and economic opportunity. The highly competitive and invitation-only program, with honorees selected by a committee of community leaders and past award recipients, includes $200,000 in flexible, unrestricted funding and two years of leadership development for its executive and emerging leaders.
Says Chief Executive Officer, Jennifer Friend, “Bank of America has been a steadfast partner in our mission to end the cycle of homelessness, one child at a time since 2019. To be recognized and awarded the Neighborhood Builders grant at this moment in our organization’s history is truly an honor. The impact of this grant and the leadership training for myself and our Chief Partnership Officer, Dr. Shelby Feliciano-Sabala, will have a ripple effect on the children and families we journey alongside, as well as the 30,000 students experiencing homelessness in Orange County. The grant will unlock more opportunities by helping us refine, strengthen, and scale our proven model of care, ensuring we lift the invisibility of our community’s kids, so they have every opportunity to thrive in school and in life. We are deeply grateful to Bank of America for their dedication, partnership, and commitment to transforming the lives of students experiencing homelessness in Orange County.”
